I am often distracted. I get relief from this reality through art making. Taking photographs reminds me to be present and slow down. While this is an effective tool, I am unsatisfied with just one frame being the true depiction of a moment. In using multiple images, I strive to commemorate these fleeting moments with abstract collages.
Through my work, brief moments of solace are transformed into altered landscapes, challenging perception while preserving the impact of the here and now.
I work in digital photography as well as cyanotypes, an alternative-process form of photography.
The process of art making focuses me, energizes me and provides clarity in my life.
